Inspired by a supermodel’s craving and a bartenders touch. Savour our spirited sip with a stylish twist. It’s 1984 and legendary bartender and mixologist, Dick Bradsell, the man who would change the face of the London cocktails scene forever, has been asked by a supermodel for a cocktail that will ‘wake me up’. Luckily for Dick, the newly installed coffee machine was right next to the bar. In a ‘lightbulb ‘ moment he combined freshly brewed Espresso with Vodka and the Espresso Martini was born! Made for a supermodel, invented by a cocktail king and now deliciously recreated for you.
The Passionstar Martini is the bar standard for an indulgent, tropical cocktail with a kick of alcohol. Invented by the genius bartender, Douglas Ankrah, who originally named his invention the Maverick Martini after a gentleman’s club he frequented in Cape Town, South Africa. The combination of passion fruit, vanilla, and vodka deliver a mouth-wateringly refreshing cocktail.
The best drinks have the greatest stories. And this one’s straight from Hollywood. Legend has it that a Puerto Rican pirate used bottles of this white rum, coconut and pineapple perfection to keep his crew happy. But the recipe was lost with his death in 1825. Until more recently (and less piratey), the Caribe Hilton Hotel said that its bartender Ramón “Monchito” Marrero created the first one in 1954. But whatever you believe, we’ve captured all that Caribbean magic just for you.

If summer had a drinks sponsor, it would be the strawberry daiquiri.
The world’s most refreshing cocktail was the result of a happy accident in Maryland, USA in the 1860’s, when neighbours of local farmer and ice-cream maker, Christian Zacharias found out that he had some British Navy rum stored in in his basement. One summer evening, Mr Zacharias and his neighbours decided to try the rum. However, it was a bit too strong on its own. So in a moment of inspiration, they decided to mix it with fresh strawberries from Mrs Zacharias’ strawberry patch! She was fuming, obviously, but everyone was too happy to care.
Few cocktails symbolise a city like the Cosmopolitan. But even though this iconic pink drink screams New York City, it’s been evolving all over the world for more than a century. When pre-war vodka tasted absolutely horrendous on its own, lime juice was added to make the Vodka Gimlet. Years later, triple sec joined the mix, and it became the Kamikaze. But it was only in 1988 that bartender Toby Cecchini from Tribeca’s famous Odeon bistro added cranberry juice, creating “the” drink of New York. And we’ve stayed true to his modern Manhattan masterpiece (Mmm for short).
