Inspired by a supermodel’s craving and a bartenders touch. Savour our spirited sip with a stylish twist. It’s 1984 and legendary bartender and mixologist, Dick Bradsell, the man who would change the face of the London cocktails scene forever, has been asked by a supermodel for a cocktail that will ‘wake me up’. Luckily for Dick, the newly installed coffee machine was right next to the bar. In a ‘lightbulb ‘ moment he combined freshly brewed Espresso with Vodka and the Espresso Martini was born! Made for a supermodel, invented by a cocktail king and now deliciously recreated for you.
The Passionstar Martini is the bar standard for an indulgent, tropical cocktail with a kick of alcohol. Invented by the genius bartender, Douglas Ankrah, who originally named his invention the Maverick Martini after a gentleman’s club he frequented in Cape Town, South Africa. The combination of passion fruit, vanilla, and vodka deliver a mouth-wateringly refreshing cocktail.

There’s plenty of tall tales around the origins of our favourite agave-lime cocktail.
From devoted bartenders to wedding stories. Our favourite involves a wedding. Legend has it that in 1936, Danny Negrete crafted the drink as a wedding gift for his soon to be sister-in-law whilst running a bar at the Garci Crispo Hotel in Puebla, Mexico. The Brides name was… Yes! You guessed it… Margarita!

If summer had a drinks sponsor, it would be the strawberry daiquiri.
The world’s most refreshing cocktail was the result of a happy accident in Maryland, USA in the 1860’s, when neighbours of local farmer and ice-cream maker, Christian Zacharias found out that he had some British Navy rum stored in in his basement. One summer evening, Mr Zacharias and his neighbours decided to try the rum. However, it was a bit too strong on its own. So in a moment of inspiration, they decided to mix it with fresh strawberries from Mrs Zacharias’ strawberry patch! She was fuming, obviously, but everyone was too happy to care.

The origins of our favourite tropical tipple date back to the 17th century.
British sailors stationed in the Caribbean were given daily rations of rum. To make it more palatable (and to ward off scurvy), they mixed it with citrus juices, sugar, and a splash of spice. Over time, the recipe evolved, incorporating local spirits and flavours - giving rise to countless variations, including Rum Punch. The name? It is believed to have originated from the name of the large wooden cask called a “puncheon” which was used to transport the drink.
